Kayak Storage Survey
The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and those who complete it will be entered for a $25 gift certificate to FP Foods.
Port Alice has received a provincial grant of $335,000 to develop an area to launch kayaks and for picnic spots on Frigon Island and surrounding islets. Tied to this funding, the village is planning to build a kayak and gear storage facility, located at the waterfront in Lion’s Park. The storage facility will be 500-600 sq ft and be accessible to residents and tourists staying in the village. One portion of the building will be comprised of storage racks for the kayaks. Another portion will have lockers for equipment storage such as paddles, back packs, and other activity specific gear. The building will be serviced by electricity and fresh water, making it easy to return from a trip at dusk and safely/easily rinse and store your equipment. There will be a rental fee associated with the facility. In the early stages of this project, we are seeking your feedback on how you would use this facility and what amenities you require. As the project advances, we will keep you updated.RESPONSES REQUIRED BY JULY 16, 2021 – Port Alice Kayak Facilities Survey
