National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The Village of Port Alice will be closed on September 30th to recognize the day for Truth & Reconciliation. A day to commemorate the history and legacy of the residential school system, to honour the resilience and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors, and to remember the children that never returned home. A chance to engage and educate people about BC’s colonial history and how it has impacted Indigenous communities.
