National Truth and Reconciliation Day
National Truth and Reconciliation Day, observed on September 30 in Canada, is a day to honor the lost children and survivors of residential schools, as well as to recognize the ongoing impacts of these institutions on Indigenous communities. It’s a time for reflection, education, and action toward reconciliation.
In observance of Truth and Reconciliation Day, the municipal office, community centre, and transfer station will be closed on Monday, September 30th. This day is dedicated to honoring the history, experiences, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples in our community and across the nation.
Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding and support.
