NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – Draft Zoning Bylaw 688

Pursuant to Section 465 of the Local Government Act RSBC 2015 the Council of the Village of Port Alice gives notice it will hold a Public Hearing to consider Bylaw No. 688-2024, Village of Port Alice Zoning Bylaw on February 28, 2024, at the Community Centre located at 951 Marine Drive, Port Alice BC at 4:00 pm.

The purpose of Bylaw No. 688-2024 is to update the current Zoning Bylaw to comply with the Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 684-2023. Bylaw No. 688-2024 can be viewed at or at the Village of Port Alice Municipal office located at 1061 Marine Drive, Port Alice BC, between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

All persons who believe they may be affected by the proposed bylaw and wish to register an opinion may do so by appearing at the public hearing and / or by forwarding written submissions for Council’s consideration prior to February 28, 2024, at 2:30 pm to the Village of Port Alice in person, via mail at PO Box 130, Port Alice BC V0N 2N0, fax 250-284-3416, or email

Following the Public Hearing Council shall not receive further information or submissions and may consider advancing the Bylaw forward for additional readings.
