Recreation Centre

The Port Alice Community Centre offers a variety of activities, programs, and special events. Yoga, Computer use, Tot Time, Open Gym, Volleyball, and Mah Jong are only a few of the weekly options available to the entire community.

This great facility offers a full-size gym, boardroom, several meeting rooms, a semi-commercial kitchen, and a multi-purpose room. Outside, a tennis court and fenced play area round out this wonderful public facility.

Weight Room pass options include; one day, one month, two months, six months and one year.  There is also a one month family pass, one month senior’s pass (55 yrs+) and one month student pass (16 yrs+; must be a full time student) available.  All options include a separate FOB deposit as well.  Membership contracts are included below.

The Recreation Centre also contains the Vancouver Island Regional Library-Port Alice branch, and the Port Alice Lions Club. The facility is fully accessible, and available for public and private functions.

Children and Youth programs are offered each week at the Recreation Centre. A current schedule can be found in the monthly Rumble Sheet.

Sea View Activity Centre (SeaVAC)

Sea View Activity Centre, also commonly referred to as either SeaVAC or the Old High School, is the former high school that is now leased to the Village by School District No. 85 as part of the Community School Connections Program. SeaVAC houses a fantastic weight room, Port Alice Thrift Shop, a multi-purpose room, and a home economics room that can be utilized by different groups. This great space offers a variety of options for program planning, special events and weekly activities.
